Pitch for Lifeless

Film title: Lifeless.
Genre: Drama.
Form: Short film.
Location: Walking home/in the main characters mind.
Plot outline: A boy (Jason Herley) is late walking home from school, so decides to take a different route. The rest of the film is played out in is mind – while he is unconscious – he wakes up in a white room and isn’t sure what has happened. An apparition appears of his best friend (who was the last person he saw) and he talks to him about what happened and why he is there. His best friend in this place in meant to represent his own mind trying to make sense of what has happened. In the end he starts to argue with himself and getting extremely irate. He starts shouting, swearing and hitting the walls to try and get out. He then suddenly wakes up to find people crowding around him, checking to see if he is okay.
Characters:         Jason Herley – main character.
Aaron Chipley – Jason’s best friend.
Aim: is to make the audience think about how precious life is and how quickly and easily it can slip away from us.
